The two-day event attracted more than 300 professionals from diverse industries, offering a dynamic platform for experience-sharing, capacity-building, and the exchange of ideas in risk management.
Held under the impactful theme “The Antifragile Risk Manager – Resourceful, Resilient, Relevant,” the conference focused on the evolving role of risk leaders who are expected to stay adaptive, strategic, and strong in the face of modern uncertainties.
In his keynote address, Datuk Petrus Gimbad, who officiated the conference as the Guest of Honour, emphasized the pressing concerns of climate change, including sea-level rise and intensifying weather patterns.
“Without immediate, coordinated efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, we risk surpassing the critical 1.5°C global warming limit,” he warned.
He further advocated for the integration of full life-cycle assessments into corporate decision-making, urging companies to align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards to ensure sustainability and long-term resilience.
